Family Feud — The Rules

How To Win:

First family to 300 points, wins the rounds
This family then nominates two (2) family members to play "Fast Money"

The Families:

You can have family teams of the following combinations
- 3 vs. 3
- 4 vs. 4
- 5 vs. 5
Each family specifies a Head of Household. This person will be the first person in line.
- This will be the person to give an answer when attempting to steal points.
At the beginning of a game, the family must decide the order of their contestants.
- This order cannot be changed during the game.

The Face Off:

First contestant to "buzz-in", gives their answer first.
- If it is not the #1 answer, the other family gives an answer as well.
If neither contestant in the Face Off give a correct answer, the other contestants get to give an answer.
- This alternates (in order) between the 2 families.
The family with the highest answer gets to decide if they want to "play" or "pass"
NOTE:If nobody gives an answer, and the host has asked each possible player, the judge will use the option for "No Correct Answers Given", and neither team will get the points.

Giving Answers:

Once asked for your answer, you have 10 seconds to give your answer.
- If you do not give an answer within this time, you get a STRIKE
- If you are asked to give another answer, you will be given another 10 seconds
Family members CANNOT give hints or suggestions to other family members.
- If you do, this will be considered cheating.
- See below for the consequence.
Once a contestant gives an answer, they CANNOT change their answer, unless they are specifically asked to do so.
A contestant would be asked for another answer under the following conditions:
- If the given answer is already revealed
- If the given answer is too vague
  (as determined by the judges)
If a given answer is not correct, the family gets a STRIKE

Stealing Points:

If the current family gives three (3) wrong answers, the other family gets one chance to steal.
The stealing family may confer with one another to determine what answer they want to give.
- The "Head of Household" for the family will give the final answer.
If the stealing family gets it correct, they steal all the points!
- This will include the points from the answer they gave to steal.
If the stealing family does not get it correct, the original family keeps all the points.

Spectators:

Spectators CANNOT give suggestions for answers!
- If a spectator violates this rule, they may be asked to leave the game area.

Fast Money:

Both contestants have to answer 5 questions in a limited amount of time
- First contestant gets 20 seconds
- Second contestant gets 25 seconds
Either contestant can say PASS to skip a question, and come back to it.
- If they do not give an answer before time is up, it will be considered a blank answer.
While the first contestant is answering, the second contestant must be in a different room
- They should NOT be able to hear the questions or answers for the first contestant.

NO CHEATING!!!:

Any actions deemed cheating by the judges will result in a STRIKE for the offending family.
If the cheating offence occurs after a family already has three (3) strikes, the STRIKE is applied to the next "Face Off"
- This would mean that the opposing family would automatically get to decide if they want to "play" or "pass"
